                          • Basic rules
                            • Find the location of the shaded squares on the grid.
                            • Use the numbers on the left and top side of the grid to identify the location of the shaded squares.
                              • Every number represents the number of shaded squares on the row or column.
                              • Many of the rows and columns have hints that shows 2 or even 3 numbers. This represents a row or column that has groups of shaded squares separated by at least 1 blank square.
                              • Marking nonograms
                                • You can mark each square in 3 ways:
                                  • Completely shaded in black
                                  • As an X (which is a way of stating you are certain the cell is not black)
                                  • As a blank
                                  • As a rule, mark each white cell on the grid with an X if you are sure it is not black. Mark a cell as a black square only if you’re sure of your answers.
                                  • Strategy
                                    • Start with the rows or columns with the most black cells in them as you can mark the center portion of a long string of black cells without knowing where the precise edges of the run are.
                                      • For example, if a 10×10 puzzle shows an 8 you know the center 6 cells in that row or column are black (without immediately being certain of the distribution of the final 2 black cells among the 4 outer cells in that row or column).
                                      • The cells you are certain of being black can then be used along with clues in the orthogonal direction to work the puzzle in the other direction.
                                      • Do not rely solely on random guesswork.
                                        • One wrong guess can throw off your entire solution and force you to start over.
                                        • Use the query button to check your answers if you’re stuck. This is especially useful if you’re down to two options when guessing the location of a shaded cell.
                                        • The query button will not tell you which cells are wrong.
                                        • Leave X marks to mark white cells you know are not filled in black.
                                        • Use contradictions to determine the correct placement of black squares when faced with ambiguous situations.
                                          • If you narrowed it down to two cells, mark one as black first, then hit the query button.
                                          • If it marks your answer as incorrect, the other one is automatically correct.
                                          • Target Audience
                                            • The game is suited for players who like nonogram puzzle games.
                                            • If you want a printable version of this game, check out Daily Nonograms.
